Technician's Choice TEC582 (Bronze)
A ceramic spray option providing 1 year of protection. Starting at $599 for coupes.
Optimum Gloss-Coat (Silver)
A ceramic polymer coating with added mar resistance and 3 years of protection. Starting at $799.
Opti-Coat Pro (Gold)
A 5-year Silicon Carbide (SiC) coating with the strongest protection against scratches, sun damage and environmental wear. Starting at $1,299.
All three tiers include paint correction prep, clay treatment and polishing before application. For ongoing maintenance between coatings, our Ceramic Mini Detail keeps your protected finish in top shape.
Need more than just ceramic? Pair your coating with Paint Protection Film (PPF), also known as clear bra. PPF is a polyurethane film that absorbs rock chips and road debris to protect your vehicle and preserve the value of your vehicle over time.

Pricing varies by vehicle size: sedans, compact SUVs, trucks, full-size SUVs, motorcycles, RVs, and boats each have their own rate.

How Much Should I Expect to Pay for Ceramic Coating?
Professional coatings typically range from $500 to $2,000+ depending on the product, vehicle size, and paint condition. Lower-cost options use ceramic spray sealants (1-year protection), while higher-end coatings like Opti-Coat Pro bond permanently to the clear coat for up to 5 years.
Paint correction prep adds to the total if your vehicle has existing paint defects. Smith Bros includes a one-step polish with every tier.
What Is the Downside of Ceramic Coating?
Ceramic coating is not a substitute for Paint Protection Film. A coating protects against sun damage, minor scratches, and chemical stains, but it will not prevent rock chips or deep abrasions.
Coatings also require proper prep: if applied over existing paint defects, those imperfections get locked in under the coating.
That is why Smith Bros includes paint correction with every ceramic package. The coated surface still needs regular washing, though maintenance is significantly easier than uncoated paint.
